I believe in taking a compassionate, partnership approach to my counseling relationships. People come to me feeling overwhelmed, confused, nervous, frustrated, and worn out. My goal is to provide my clients support during painful transitions, help them gain clarity, develop coping tools, and learn to identify and utilize their feelings to navigate a more peaceful way of living.
In my experience counseling individuals, couples, and families affected by disability, I have learned to help people harness their resilience and ability to cope in order to live fulfilled, meaningful lives. My experience working for the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia helped me gain understanding of the unique challenges affecting people and their loved ones impacted by catastrophic injury.
My other specialties include divorce recovery, couples counseling, addiction, depression, anxiety, and adjustment to life transitions. I strive to help my clients engage in healthy relationships with others, as well as themselves.
